I think I am going to just write what comes to me if it’s happy then it’s happy, if it’s not then it’s not.

It’s hard to try and stay positive when you only write about the negative things.

That is why on The Early Years Post I had to end with better memories, so I could get out of that mode of negativity.

Trying to click that publish button for The Early Years was very hard to do.

Weekend with Gbaby (Juliana)

So anyway on to happier times. This weekend I got to watch my Granddaughter, she’s 2 and smart as heck… she puts sentences and thoughts together so well. I don’t remember children being so young doing that.

I am so proud of my son and daughter-in-law. They have done such a great job in raising Juliana. She gets away with some things but there is a lot she doesn’t get away with. She does have her daddy wrapped around her little finger, I must say I am pretty sure she has all of us wrapped around a finger though. She is an awesome kid (although I am a bit bias).

My daughter (her Auntie Uhkah or Dessie, as Juliana says) asked her how she got so cute, she said, “Cuz I’m pretty!” lol, she cracks me up.

Then we were sitting at the table eating lunch, Aunt Dessie starts to sing the bumble bee tuna jingle “yum yum bumble bee, bumble bee tuna, I love bumble bee, bumble bee tuuuna, yum yum bumble bee, bumble bee tuna, I love a meal that’s made with Bumble bee!” Aunt Dessie would sing that fast, Juliana would start to eat fast and do a little swaying fast, then Aunt Dessie sang it super slow, Juliana looked at her Aunt Dessie from the top of her eyes as if to say, “what?” then would move her spoon slowly to her mouth and start to sway really slow. They did this for a long time about 10-15 minutes, it was so funny to watch! A couple of nuts they are..lol

Juliana likes to do a lot of writing herself, so we made her a journal so she could have her own thoughts written down, lol.  Of course she wrote all kinds of things in it, I just hope she knows what it says when she comes to doing her own blogging.  ;0) Start her out early!! LoL

Some funny things my Daughter-in-law has written about Juliana… she is the funniest kid!! Enjoy:

While we were giving Juliana her bath tonight Chris told her to stand up so she saluted him and said, “Yes, sir!!!” Hahahahaha! I have no idea where the kid gets this stuff...

Yesterday I was wearing a dress and my sweet daughter told me I looked like a Princess. :)

So Juliana is doing so great learning the “ABC’s” song and she was singing it in the car last night. When she got to the end she sang, “…Now I know my ABC’s. Thanks.” :D

Juliana has entered a phase where she “needs” everything. Example: she just came up to me and very solemnly said, “I need a cookie again.” LOL! Yesterday she “needed” an ice pop and a coconut.

So evidently my daughter has a new name for me. If you ask her what her name is she will tell you, “Juliana”. If you ask her what my name is she will tell you, “Juli-MAMA”!!! LOL, I love the way her mind works.

I was working with Juliana on some of her word pronunciations this evening, specifically on “Nilk” (milk). I said, “Mmmmmmm-Milk” and Juliana replied, “Mmmmmm-Nilk!” Oh well. Didn’t hurt to try…

I love having a 2-year-old who puts herself to bed at 8:15. Tonight she was the one going to her room saying, “I go night-night Mama” and I was the one sitting on the couch saying, “Don’t you want to finish watching The Backyardigans?” Haha!

Watching Toy Story with Juliana, it is SOOO funny because she adds her own commentary: “Oh no, Buzz sad!” “He climbing!” He falling!” “Ouchie! He broken!” :)

Has been outsmarted by a 2-year-old once again…I told her if she wanted more milk to eat her cereal and drink it from her bowl. She proceeded to remove every single Cheerio and lay them in a soggy pile on the table and then drink the milk…Nice.

Tonight’s edition of the Juliana Comedy Corner: We are parked in the car at the mall and she looks at me and says, “I drive Mama? Please? Driiiive!” while moving her hands like she is steering the wheel. LOL
